Stories from the road, the sea and the mountains
Here is a collection of stories from my adventures as a much younger man. They are written in the style of blog or journal entries, emails home and a few reflections on life at the time, back in the late 1990s and early 2000s. These provide a different perspective on who I am and the experiences that have been so influential in my life.
Why did my adventuring stop? It actually didn’t, but instead became more professional and career oriented as my work life took over, taking me to live and work in many different countries around the world. LinkedIn picks up from where these pages finish.
I’m Dan. I’m an adventurer.
Over the past few years I’ve crossed Baffin Island on foot, sailed the Atlantic, driven through the Atacama desert in Chile, trekked in the mountains of Azerbaijan, and jumped out of a few planes. I write about them here — a mix of journals, emails home and the odd moment of reflection. Have a read.
